Oracle EBS R12 Roll-Out for Saudi (new entity) for Finance and Supply Chain Module

Problem Statement

Bank Sohar faced the challenge of establishing compliant and efficient operations for their newly formed Saudi (KSA) entity. This requires:

  • Aligning with Saudi banking regulations and local statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring smooth integration between Oracle Fusion applications and existing core banking and payroll systems.
  • Supporting both conventional and Shariah-compliant (Islamic) accounting practices.
  • Managing change effectively to ensure user adoption and minimize disruption.
  • Enabling efficient financial reporting and approval processes for improved operational control.

Solutions Provided

As-Is Rollout of Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, and HCM for the Saudi (KSA) entity. Modules include:

General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, HCM, Payroll.

Integrations Configured (up to 10 interfaces):

  • Inbound: Core Banking to Oracle GL (day-to-day transactions).
  • Outbound: AP Vendor Payments, HR/Payroll Payments.
  • Interfaces for Conventional and Islamic (Shariah-compliant) accounting.
  • File-based interface for integration with Saudi HRMS Payroll system and Bank GL.
  • VAT configuration enabled for KSA rollout.

Customizations:

  • Developed 30 new reports (10 MIS-specific + 20 new).
  • Retrofitted 15 reports for KSA use.
  • Configured 6 Workflow/AME setups.
  • Developed 6 Forms/OAF customizations.
