4i apps effectively transitioned TRANSOM Handling, a prominent Aviation Ground Handling company, from Oracle On-premises ERP Application to Oracle Cloud ERP Application, achieving Digital Transformation.
Challenges:
With Growing Airport Traffic in Muscat, Transom became a separate entity that came out of Oman Air. Oman Air being one of the leading carriers from Middle east connecting 900 destinations across 170 countries in the world and has put Muscat international Airport on the Global Tourism Map. Transom handles ground handling for all the carriers in Muscat Airport. With increasing traffic, the ground handling operations have become complex and required modern system to streamline their operations. Many critical applications such as Cargo Management system, Catering system, Rostering System did not have real-time Integration leading to inefficiencies in serving the Airlines and its customers. The Number of Air carriers crossing Muscat is increasing and Transom needed a Stable and Scalable system for their operations.
Transitioning from Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to Oracle Fusion offers numerous advantages for Transom, a leading ground handling company that was once part of Oman Air. This transition enhances coordination and scalability for managing multiple airlines, providing real-time data access and automated workflows to ensure timely services. It streamlines procurement processes and supply chain management (SCM), reduces costs, and integrates handling operations for optimal resource allocation. Oracle Fusion’s seamless integration with catering and rostering systems improves planning and scheduling, while its advanced maintenance application supports proactive maintenance, reducing downtime. The unified platform includes comprehensive Finance and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules, ensuring better financial oversight, budget management, and enhanced employee management and productivity.
